Obviously, I'm referring to the anonymous letter received by stunned registered Republicans. As my "interview" is the reason the Republican Club's mailer used "so-called" sexually explicit language I think I have the right to make a few points.
The mailer uses the most delicate language possible to describe what happened to me during the second "interview" for a volunteer position on the Historic Preservation Commission.
Any of you ladies "offended" by that language would like to tell me how I felt, being shown hundreds of pornographic photos by Coucilman Francis Gray, behind closed doors, surrounded by 5 men and our town's first woman supervisor? Let me tell you, it felt like rape... And if you consider this treatment "respectful," the only dis-respectful thing you may think of would be a gang rape!
I am an independent human being, with my own values, personality and sensibilities. A Republican woman, I am not one of "Dave O'Halloran's crowd" — as Zali Win calls the Republicans. And, by the way, why switch to propaganda against David O'Halloran? Just because you cannot find any justification for what was done to me by the town officials, arrogant in their overpowering Democratic majority?
I am overwhelmed by the number of emails, cards, envelopes, calls and visits — and I thank all these people who thought of me and wanted to show support... It's true, some are concerned Democrats and Conservatives... If you are concerned Republicans, why don't you reach out to me, the "so-called victim"?
So you are "afraid they'll come after" you... Why be afraid? This is America, remember?
How come I'm not afraid? And I wrote quite a few signed letters to Pam Duke, Marijane Knudsen, Governor Spitzer. No matter who you are, I know why you are afraid to sign while I am not... Because I'm telling the truth, and you are NOT. The truth gives you power, gives you courage. The lies make you cowards... So, stop pretending you are "concerned Republicans" — you are either desperately "concerned" Democrats or desperate RINOs...
Anyway, thank you for giving me the opportunity to write this letter. After the January 24 unfortunate event, courtesy of you and your friends, it became obvious even to journalists that we have enemies in town. But, as a kind Republican put it, we "got much more friends"! Speaking of rumors during the so-called "interview," Pam Duke told me that "we are taking these things very seriously." Now it's my turn to take these things seriously. Very.
