Friends of Mario Catalano? We can't help wondering...
|
After the Ulster County GOP Convention, "anonymous" posters are spewing out rumors and insults directed at the people of Rochester and their elected officials. Their message, vocabulary, grammar, and spelling are disturbingly similar to e-mails signed by Mario Catalano and John Morrow. Reading these idiocies on Ulster Politics blog should give everybody some food for thought. |

Anonymous said: Bernardo and the Rochester Town Supervisor Carl Chipman (R) are both running unopposed. There is no Democratic candidate for Supervisor. Maybe that is because there is no Republican candidate for Town Council. Democrat Town Councilmen Archer and Spano are getting a win.... oh, no they are getting an appointment as well with Carl Chipman.

So, Len Bernardo's wife being the beneficiary of Catalano-Bernardo's back room deal is equivalent with keeping an excellent town board working for the people of Rochester. Not to mention that no caucus of any color took place in Rochester yet. If candidates appear, they will be on the ballot. Can you say the same about the candidates for District 1 Legislature? Nice try, moron.

Anonymous said: Maybe Noonan could come to Rochester and recruit Republican Town Council candidates. Are the people in Rocheter resentful of the anointment of the Democratic Town Council so that the Republican Supervisor get a free ride? Sounds like you people in Rochester have a double standard.

Compare "Maybe Noonan could come to Rochester and recruit Republican Town Council candidates" with "If you are having difficulty recruiting candidates to run, please let me know. It is my understanding that Glenn Noonan is really great at recruiting , and I can ask him to assist you" from Mario Catalano's e-mail.

Anonymous said: The people in control in Rochester are like a colonial village. Throwbacks to the 18th century and wishing for the 14th.

The people in control are like a village? This sentence alone makes you the village idiot.

Anonymous said: Before you defend those Town of Rochester types, read the paper. They are having a fit about no contested elections for county legislature, and then turn around and have no contested elections for town board. Holy Cow. What a bunch of hipoctits. Do us all a favor and shut the hell up.

Judging by the attitude, mispellings, and political acumen, I'm willing to bet that the author is John Morron, of the "viscous emails" fame, beating the same dead horse. Len Bernardo's wife being shooed in Legislature does not qualify as an uncontested election. It does not even qualify as an unopposed election, because there is plenty of opposition. It qualifies as an in-your-face dirty deal. As for the Rochester elections, see above. What a "hipoctit" you are!

Anonymous said: If you have so much information, why don't you tell us who the Republican Rochester Town Candidates are for Councilman or do we need to get Noonan involved again to recruit candidates?
You people in Rochester are just greedy. You haven't had a Legislator from that backwards ass town in years. Now you want two? If anyone should be screaming, it is the people from Wawarsing. But they are not screaming because even the former Republican Legislators from Wawarsing (Jennings, DePew, etc.) have gotten their asses kicked enough by the Democrats, you don't see them asking for more. Enrollment is heavily Democratic in Wawarsing. You will never see two Legislators from Rochester. Please keep up the infighting in the Republican party. Democrats love to you watch you implode.

My dear Idiot, how can anyone tell you who the candidates are, when you didn't have the guts to sign? I mailed the list to Anonymous, but the Post Office returned it as undeliverable. My dear Idiot, how many times are you going to repeat the Noonan-the-Recruiter joke?

Anonymous said: For all your intelligence, you are missing the fact that the conventions are entirely meaningless. Anyone who wants to run for office can carry petitions and get signatures and be in the race. I don't understand why this Manuela woman is bitching. It makes no difference what happened at the convention. Carry your petitions and get them signed. There is nothing stopping you. You are only fracturing the party by this carrying on. Get to work getting signatures and shut up.

If the conventions are so meaningless, why didn't Mario Catalano make the dirty deals AFTER the convention? Did you get my drift, bitching moron?

Anonymous said: I can tell you that Rochester has a Republican Supervisor, and 2 Republican Town Councilmen giving the Republicans a majority in Town Politics. The two Democratic Town Councilmen are up for re-election this year. However I think that the Republicans are going to give them (Tony Spano and Lynn Archer) a free ride. Thanks Marijane Knudsen (Rochester Republican Chairman). Great Job! I wonder if the favor will be returned to Republican Town Councilmen Manuela Mihalescu and Tavi Cilenti next year when they are up for re-election?

Gosh, you are quick! It took you only two years to figure out who is who on Rochester Town Board. Too bad than when you start the sentence with "However I think" your babbling takes a dive. The seats held by Michailescu and Cilenti are not up for election till 2011. For the dead horse, see above. Dude, give it up, thinking is not your groove. |
