February 20, 2007 — Today's autopsy is performed on Concerned Republicans in Rochester, an anonymous piece of junk mail sent out by Rochester Democratic/Republican Committee.

Lies are blue. Truth is red.

We're writing to express our deep dismay and disgust over the recent actions of the Rochester Republican Club and to ask you to join us in speaking out against these unfair and disruptive tactics.

You're asking me to join you in speaking out against something you fail to identify, despite using lots of adjectives... What exactly are the "recent actions" you call "unfair and disruptive tactics"?

They've embarrassed us many times in the past by their bullying and their shouting, screaming, and general disruption at town meetings.

Hogwash! Can you name a witness to all this bullying, shouting, screaming, disrupting? You know, first name, last name, not a member of the Democratic Committee... or the Republican Committee for that matter...

Now, they've resorted to using sexually explicit language in their recent postcard to bring attention to their vicious campaign against those who disagree with them.

I hate to break the news to you, but the words "Sexually Explicit" do not qualify as sexually explicit language. Ask Rod Futerfas, the town attorney. He knows a lot about "Sexually Explicit."

At the last town board meeting, David O'Halloran and Shane Ricks, the so called leaders of the Republican Club, encouraged what can truly be called a mob to honk their horns, disrupting the meeting and eventually forcing the board to adjourn.

What is most disgraceful is that David O'Halloran drove his Mercedes up onto the walkway into town hall to lead this childish car horn honking behavior.

C'mon, c'mon, don't let me down now... Mercedes! what year? what model? what color? leather seats? Maryland plates? C'mon, inquiring minds want to know...

Not only did the state police have to call in back up cars, the sheriff's department also was required to stop the disruption.

Absolutely true! Except that the state police — brought in by Pam Duke — didn't call for back up, while David O'Halloran personally called the sheriff's department to stop the unlawful Town Board Meeting.

Why do these characters continue to say they represent Rochester Republicans when, in fact, they don't? They are a small minority of our party, but they are giving us all a bad name.

Rochester Republican Club's members — about 350 strong — never claimed to represent anybody but themselves. If they are such "a small minority" of the Republican Party, what is Marijane Knudsen's "big majority" afraid of?

Their real agenda has always been making money for themselves, plain and simple. David O'Halloran is also large landowner with a 1,000 acre ranch ready for development into rows and rows of houses. Honest people of both parties in our town government will no longer let him have his way to do whatever he pleases. David O'Halloran has often bragged that he's the largest employer in town but he never mentions that he laid off almost all his employees a few days before Christmas. Now, we taxpayers are paying them as many of them are forced to collect welfare benefits.

Paranoia will destroya.

These actions, especially the pornographic language used in their postcard mailer do not represent Republican family values.

Let me get this straight... The reprehensible, repugnant and unconscionable premeditated behavior of the pornography-minded Democratic Town Board is OK. Francis Gray's printing of hundreds of pages of pornographic images on tax-payers' dime is OK. At the same time, Republican Club's mailer describing Town Board's gross misconduct does not represent Republican family values. Nice deal, if you can get it.

Send them the enclosed postcard and tell them to stop these counterproductive and disgraceful tactics.

Something like this? "It could be that Zali Win paid for these postcards, and he wants me to tell you to stop these counterproductive and disgraceful tactics. Otherwise he is prone to make a fist, stomp his foot, and ask Stuart Fraser for more labels." Does it work for you?

Finally, we wish we could sign our names but we, like many of our town's residents, we're afraid they'll come after us next.

Are you afraid the Republican Club will come after you next? 'Cause everybody knows it came after Doug Dymond, Mary Lou Christiana, Sharon Hornbeck, Toni Sindone and Manuela Mihailescu? To name just a few.
