Chris Kelder
Town Supervisor

Christopher Kelder is the Republican/Conservative candidate for the office of Supervisor for the Town of Rochester.

He graduated from Rondout Valley High School in 1983 and Cornell University in 1987. Born and raised on his family's dairy farm, he is now the owner and operator of Kelder's Farm, a 250 acre diversified u-pick produce farm and market.

Mr. Kelder is not a newcomer to public service. He has held many offices in Farm Bureau at the county, state and national level. He is currently on the State Board of Directors of the NY Farm Bureau (an elected position) and is also on the board of directors of the NYFB Foundation for Agricultural Education. Chris has testified before the State Legislature on various issues and has participated in many state and national lobby trips. He is a past winner of the NY Farm Bureau Discussion Meet.

Mr. Kelder has served on numerous committees throughout his career, such as the Farm Bureau Audit Committee, Ulster County Soil & Water Committee; Ulster County Farmland Protection Board, only to name a few. He is a member & VP of the Rondout Valley Growers Association; Friend of Cornell Cooperative Extension, a board member of the Kerhonkson/Accord Chamber of Commerce; and a past deacon of the Rochester Reformed Church.

Chris and his wife, Jackie, reside in Accord and are the proud parents of two children, John, 13 & Kaitlyn 11.
