Anonymous spin strictly for the birds...
|
|

|
|
Disingenuous, deceptive and highly manipulative, The Rochester Review, a paper many wouldn't use as birdcage-lining for fear of insulting the intelligence of parakeets, is a masterpiece of truthiness — what one wants the facts to be, as opposed to what the facts are; what feels like the right answer as opposed to what reality will support...
Every article smacks of insulting spin:
Town Getting Things Done in a Big Way (Ha!),
Supervisor Gets Well-Deserved Raise (Ha! Ha!),
Straight talk from Supervisor Duke (Ha! Ha! Ha!), and
New Businesses? New Committee Lays Plans to get the Right Kinds (Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!)
are just a few of the ridiculous truth-stretching headlines.
It's unsettling to see those responsible for this Spinfest hiding behind a domain name which takes you nowhere:

It seems that the Rochester Democratic leadership and its amen corner have a penchant for anonymous actions: anonymous phone calls, anonymous letters, and now an anonymous paper!
As a public service for the town's residents, here is help in understanding how the spin machine works:
