Concerned Republicans in Rochester?

I received a letter in Saturday's mail. I read it through and looked to see who it was from. There was no signature. The letterhead says 'Concerned Republicans in Rochester.' I looked for a phone number. There was none. I looked for a return address. There was none.

So, I did what seems to be an acceptable way to find out information (as per the debacle our town board put forth with the Manuela Historical Preservation Commission appointment issue). I surfed the web. I googled, I yahooed, I even tried to ask jeeves. But to no avail. It seems that the internet has no information about this group. Does it truly exist?

I wanted to find out who the Concerned Republicans In Rochester are. But without any contact information, this is impossible.

As an American, I understand, respect and applaud our right to 'free' speech. Even though I might not agree with an opinion, we all have the right to say what we think.

But, if we have opinions, and choose to express them in any venue, at least there should be conviction behind them. Anyone can spew opinions, thoughts and ideas, but it takes strength to sign your name to them. Without conviction, how can anyone take you seriously?

My parents taught me that if I had opinions, thoughts or ideas and wanted to stand up for them, I should do it with all my strength. To do otherwise, would be weak & show lack of conviction.

So, who are you Concerned Republicans in Rochester? I'm a concerned Republican, too.

Signed,

Alysse Ricks
Accord

I'm a Republican because...
